The Russia-linked hacker "Guccifer 2.0" was long believed to be a front for Russian intelligence. On Thursday, The Daily Beast published a bombshell report confirming that the hacker was directly tied to the GRU. The GRU is Russia's military intelligence outfit.<br />Guccifer 2.0 has said that they targeted Democrats during the 2016 US election. It has denied having any ties to Russia. <br />
