<p>A Coast Guard aircraft assisted in the rescue of eight men, whose fishing boat sank over 400 miles northeast of Hawaii’s Big Island on Sunday, March 25.</p><p>The air crew of HC-130 Hercules were deployed to locate the Princess Hawaii after contact was lost with the vessel earlier on Sunday. A lifeboat with seven fishermen and one observer from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration were spotted near the partial sunken ship.</p><p>KHON</a> reported a VHF radio was dropped to the men, and their sister vessel, the Commander, rescued them late on Sunday.
