2017-12-18 – 2017-12-19 STREETTANGO ADVENTURES KREFELD<br /><br />On my way traveling by train to the German border, I ask a black man if I can sit next to him.<br /><br />He removes his bag from one of the two other chairs he is occupying and I sit down.<br />I look around greeting a guy sitting aside and see the completely cracked display of the black man's smartphone.<br /><br />He asks me why I need to sit next to him while there is so much space.<br />I tell him that I would like to keep an eye on my bike.<br /><br />"Well keep an eye on my bike as well" he says, "I am going to sit behind you."<br /><br />Later when we leave the train I tell him that I apologize if I made him feel uncomfortable but he says it doesn't matter. <br /><br />This makes me think of previous similar encounters with black people.<br /><br />They seem to be more comfortable with the people they know, talking with them on the phone, feeling uncomfortable with the ones sitting next to them.<br /><br />Could this be a cultural thing?<br />I would love to meet black people that feel comfortable with anyone.<br /><br />Let's share: <br />Traveling the world without depending on money, enjoying free pleasures worldwide. <br /><br />https://fpww.nl
