Steam's homepage is missing a hardware drop-down section.<br />And no, Valve isn't pulling a late April Fool's joke.<br />After a few years since their launch, it appears that the Steam Machines are on their way out.<br />Initially developed to release with SteamOS, the form factor PCs made to compete with console gaming systems never caught on.<br />Valve revealed the idea back in 2013, looking to break into the living room.<br />But they never caught on, as Valve's SteamOS fell behind in development. <br />
