Indian weightlifters and shooters increased India’s medals tally to 11 in the commonwealth games which is underway at gold coast. The day started with 2 golds coming in from Punam Yadav and Manu Bhaker. Heena Sidhu too clinched a silver in the same event of 10 metre air pistol following which, shooter Ravi Kumar and wrestler Vikram Thakur added a bronze each to the medal basket. India's splendid performance in common wealth games has once again put the spotlight on sports beyond cricket. <br /><br />Although, various initiatives including Khelo India are pushing for all kind of sporting events in our nations, we continue to remain a cricketing nation. If other sports are delivering results in such great manner, isn't it time they get their due?
