Uber has joined the bike-sharing industry.<br />The company bought a Brooklyn-based startup called JUMP Bikes.<br />The company offers electronic bikes in San Francisco and Washington, D.C.<br />JUMP bikes are dockless and can be locked to any bike rack via a smartphone app.<br />E-bikes allow riders to pedal lightly but travel at high speeds.<br />TechCrunch reports that Uber may have paid more than $100 million to purchase the startup.<br />The next step will likely be to take JUMP e-bikes nationwide. <br />
