<p>When Dax Shepard</a> and Kristen Bell </a>wed in 2013, the Parenthood actor thought he was being a nice, selfless husband-to-be when he opted not to make her sign a prenuptial agreement.</p><br /><p>“When we first started dating, I had more money than her. And I owned the house that I lived in. And she said to me at one point, ‘Would you like a prenup [before we get married]?’” Dax told Conan O’Brien</a> on Conan Monday night.</p><br /><p>Even though Dax confessed he “really wanted” one, he told Kristen no, explaining to Conan, “Something good came over for me once.”</p><br /><p>Five years later, however, Dax said “the joke is now on [Kristen],” whose fame has skyrocketed in the years since they said “I do,” thanks to hit films like Frozen and Bad Moms.</p><br /><p>“She’s become much more successful than me, and has much more money than me,” he told Conan, adding jokingly, “Or does she?”</p><br /><p>Watch Dax talk about his decision not to get a prenup in the video above!</p><br /><p>Are you surprised Dax and Kristen don’t have a prenup?
