<br /> <p>Former Catalan minister Clara Ponsati appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff’s Court on April 12 for a preliminary hearing to decide on an extradition warrant</a> issued by the Spanish government.</p><p>Her lawyer, Aamer Anwer, can be heard saying that two more preliminary hearings would be held before a full hearing begins on July 30.</p><p>With Ponsati at his side, Anwer told the assembled crowd that she believed she was being persecuted for her political beliefs and would fight against her extradition.</p><p>A crowdfund set up to raise money for her legal defence</a> had raised more than £230,000 by April 12.
