Israel says its military has detected and destroyed what it calls the longest and deepest guerrilla tunnel to stretch from the Gaza Strip in to Israeli territory.<br /> A military spokesman said Sunday it had been dug by the Hamas militant group since the 2014 Gaza war and stretched "several kilometers." <br />It is the fifth such tunnel to be destroyed in as many months. <br />Hamas and the Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad used tunnels to blindside Israeli forces during the Gaza war and Israel fears new tunnels are being built to launch attacks. <br />
