North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on Sunday to celebrate the birthday of the regime's founder Kim Il-sung.<br /> The North's state-run media reported Monday that Kim paid tribute to his late grandfather as well as his father Kim Jong-il at the palace that serves as the mausoleum for the regime's late leaders.<br />Pyongyang refrained from any provocative acts or words,... in stark contract from the past celebrations when the North conducted missile tests marking the occasion in 2016,... and a large-scale military parade last year. <br />Kim Il-sung's birthday,... also called the Day of the Sun,... is North Korea's largest national holiday. <br />
