Scientists in Singapore have developed a robot that could solve what can sometimes be the confusing and frustrating task of assembling packed furniture.<br /> After three years of development, researchers at Nanyang Technological University made two robotic arms and gave them the task of assembling a chair from Ikea.<br />The robot's array of 3D cameras and sensors helped it complete the task in 20 minutes.<br />It does, however, have its limitations as it was programmed to carry out the sequence of events needed for construction.<br />In the future, scientists hope the system can put together any piece of flat-pack furniture simply by studying its instructions.<br />They also hope to expand the technology to the automotive industry. <br />
