A mermaid made a splash at the annual Porthleven food festival in Cornwall on Saturday by swimming across the harbour to the delight of children waiting for her. <br /><br />The mermaid, also known as Laura Evans from St Ives, finished her job in the NHS this week, to become a full-time mermaid.
