Shares for Southwest Airlines dropped by almost 2-percent the day after one of the company's aircraft suffered an in-flight engine failure.<br />According to the airline and federal officials, one person died due to the engine failure.<br />Bound for Dallas, Texas, the aircraft took off from LaGuardia in New York, but it landed unexpectedly in Philadelphia after an engine blew out.<br />The failure caused the engine to disintegrate, while spraying the fuselage with shrapnel. <br />
