A person has died after a Southwest Airlines flight suffered an engine failure in-flight.<br />The blown engine peppered the fuselage with shrapnel as it disintegrated mid-flight, forcing an emergency landing.<br />The Boeing 737 was travelling from New York City to Dallas, but landed at Philadelphia International Airport following the engine failure.<br />According to the FAA, the crew of Flight 1380 reported damage to one engine, the fuselage, and a window, which caused the cabin to lose pressure. <br />
