<p>Staff at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden welcomed a 250-pound orphaned female manatee to the zoo’s Manatee Springs enclosure on April 24.</p><p>The one-year-old manatee was rescued by zoo staff after her mother was hit by a boat on April 9. Her mother didn’t survive.</p><p>According to the zoo,</a> the manatee will be rehabilitated along with three orphaned males that have been at the zoo for the last six months.</p><p>A clip shared to Facebook of the manatee familiarising herself with the zoo had earned over 120,000 views at the time of writing.
