<p>Spanish police seized the largest amount of cocaine ever found in a single shipping container in Europe in a raid In Algeciras on April 25,</p><p>Nearly nine tons of the drug were uncovered inside a banana shipment sent from Turbo, Colombia. The stash was seized in the southern Spanish port city of Algeciras.</p><p>Two people were detained in Lyon, France, one in Algeciras and three in Malaga after the drugs were uncovered, according to a police press release</a>.</p><p>The seizure is the largest amount of cocaine intercepted by the Spanish police. Previously, the largest cache uncovered was in December of 2017, when the Spanish police seized a six ton shipment, also in the city of Algeciras.</p><p>This footage shows the police pulling out cocaine packets from the banana shipment.
