A madcap mechanic shows off his electricity-saving invention - an exercise bike hooked up to the washing machine. <br /><br />Dandy Vincentino, 43, removed the engine from the washer and linked a belt to the cogs on an old bicycle. <br /><br />Relaxing on a plastic chair, he is seen pedalling, which turns the washing machine drum that contains water and soap. <br /><br />Vincentino, from Davao City, Philippines, says his contraption is perfect for people who are too busy to visit the gym. <br /><br />He added: ''This saves a lot of electricity. It's a great way to lose weight, too. I built it with an old exercise bike and a washing machine.''
