Singapore's Last Polar Bear Dies at Wildlife Reserves Zoo

<p>Singapore’s last polar bear was euthanized at the Singapore Zoo in Mandai on Wednesday, April 25, despite extensive efforts to save his life, the zoo announced.</p><p>The bear, named Inuka, suffered from “age-related ailments such as arthritis, dental issues and occasional ear infections for the past five years,” a zoo spokesman said.</p><p>Zoo vets decided to euthanize the 27-year-old bear after his declining health failed to significantly improve over the last month, despite various treatments.
