<p>Lava overflowed from the summit of Kilauea into the Halemaumau Crater in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on April 25 and 26.</p><p>The largest of the flows from the lake into the crater was between 6:15 am and 10:30 am on April 26, when the lava covered 90 acres, or two-thirds, of the crater floor.</p><p>The USGS</a> called the event the first significant overflow of the summit lava lake since 2015.</p><p>This footage shows the lava lake overflow on the April 25, as well as lava continuing to bubble on the lake two days later.
