Cottage Cheese Doughnut Holes recipe<br /><br />Very easy to make, ideal for beginners. A quick dessert which only takes 15 minutes to prepare.<br />The dough does not contain yeast, just a small amount of baking powder, so no need to let it rest, you can deep-fry the doughnuts right after mixing all the ingredients.<br /><br />Ingredients:<br />- 250g (grams) of cottage cheese, (a fresh cheese curd product with a mild flavor.)<br />- 250g of plain flour,<br />- 200ml (millilitre) sour cream or kefir,<br />- 3 eggs,<br />- 3 teaspoons of vanilla sugar,<br />- 1 teaspoon of baking powder,<br />&<br />- Vegetable oil for deep-frying,<br />- to serve: apricot jam & powdered sugar.<br /><br />Instructions:<br />1. Crumble the cottage cheese into a bowl. Add the ingredients: 3 eggs, flour, sour cream, vanilla sugar and baking powder, then combine well.<br />2. Heat the oil to medium temperature. About 3-4 cm is deep enough.<br />3. With 2 teaspoons scoop and drop little balls into the hot oil and fry each side until golden brown, it takes about 4-5 minutes.<br /><br />Note: You have to figure out the combination of oil temperature, doughnut ball size and frying time to get them just right.<br /><br />4. Transfer the doughnuts to a paper towel to get rid of vegetable oil’s excesses. <br />5.Continue to fry the rest of the dough until finished.<br />6.
