A large blaze lights up downtown Sao Paulo after a 26-storey block of flats caught fire and collapsed late in the night. <br /><br />Footage from Tuesday (May 1) shows the scene as the inferno illuminates surrounding buildings in the Brazilian city. <br /><br />More than 150 firefighters are battling the blaze, which caused the building to crumble around 2:30 local time (5:30 GMT). <br /><br />The building, formerly occupied by the federal police force, was believed to contain at least 50 squatter families. <br /><br />One person is known to have died.
