"Still In Love With You" was the result of J.J. and I wrote wanting to write a song that would be much more funky than the usual Motorcity releases. After recording the song, J.J. went to a friend of his in Detroit and made this early video in the same year. Although we tried to clean it up a bit, the crude video effects are very much of the period, but that's the way it was recorded in the first place. J.J. has been my lifelong friend. I first met J.J. Barnes in 1971 when my first business venture with my Father, was to put him on at Blackpool Mecca. I had written an article about him when I was fifteen for Collectors Soul Magazine called "J.J. Barnes The Uncrowned King Of Soul" Eighteen years later he signed to Motorcity and recorded about twenty five songs, this being one of the stand out ones, and released on the CD, "The Very Best Of J.J. Barnes"
