MB측 첫 재판서 "다스 비자금 조성•횡령 모두 부인"<br /><br /> A preparatory hearing has begun for the trial of former President Lee Myung-bak,... starting just about an hour ago.<br /> As expected, he did not attend the hearing, but through his lawyers he denied all 16 charges of corruption.<br />Lee is accused of embezzling 32 million U.S. dollars from his brother's auto parts company, which the former president is suspected of secretly controlling.<br />He's also charged with taking bribes worth over 10 million U.S. dollars from former bank chiefs, lawmakers and local businessmen.<br />Lee was arrested in March,... becoming the country's fourth former leader to face a criminal trial for corruption.<br />His successor, Park Geun-hye, was sentenced to 24 years in prison last month after being found guilty on separate corruption charges. <br />
