<br /> <p>Around 1.5 million people joined a march against poverty organized by a Philippines-based church group in Manila on Sunday, May 6.</p><p>Iglesia ni Cristo planned to organize marches in 44 countries for its Worldwide Walk to Fight Poverty with the largest event in Manila, according to a statement from the group</a>.</p><p>Church members walked around a mile from the Cultural Center of the Philippines complex in Pasay City to Roxas Boulevard in Manila, Tempo reported</a>.</p><p>The Philippines Star reported</a> about 23,235 members of the Iglesia ni Cristo church stood together to form the words “proud to be a member of Iglesia ni Cristo” in attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest human sentence.
