The Kilauea volcano in Hawaii has destroyed more than 35 homes and other buildings as it continued to spew lava on Monday - four days after it first erupted.<br /> More than 17-hundred people on Big Island, which was also struck by a magnitude-6.9 earthquake on Friday, have been told to evacuate.<br />Toxic gas is also coming out of about ten volcanic vents known as fissures, which have opened since Thursday's eruption. <br />Officials say that no deaths or major injuries have been reported so far. <br /><br />
