<p>A 12th fissure</a> opened with a burst of gas bubbles, blasting molten lava skyward, near Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano on Monday, May 7, the US Geological Survey said.</p><p>The latest fissure opened shortly after the 11th became inactive, the USGS said. The fissures opened up in the Leilani Estates subdivision in Hawaii’s Puna district after a May 4 earthquake.</p><p>The Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency</a> said on May 6 that a total of 26 homes had been destroyed by the flows since eruptions began after the quake.</p><p>This video, recorded from a drone, shows molten lava bubbling up from what the USGS said was the 12th fissure.
