Chain restaurants and food outlets with 20 or more locations in the US are now required to display calories for each menu item.<br />The rule was initially part of the Affordable Care Act, but it's implementation has been stopped three times since 2011.<br />According to the rule, restaurants must now display the caloric content of each menu item, including saturated fat, sodium, and sugar levels.<br />The labeling rule was ultimately instituted by the Food and Drug Administration. <br />
