<p>At least two people were killed and 14 injured in mortar attacks in Damascus on May 9, according to the Syrian state news agency, SANA</a>.</p><p>The mortar shells were reported to have been launched from the Yarmouk Camp, a mainly Palestinian area south of the city that is held by Islamic State, and the location of an ongoing offensive by Syrian state forces.</p><p>The Damascus Tower in Marjeh Square was damaged. Damage was also reported in the city’s Maysat Square.
