A five-foot-long python caused traffic chaos on a motorway bridge in Samut Prakan, Thailand, on May 6.<br /><br />The stray serpent sparked panic among drivers when it slithered onto the motorway. <br /><br />Animal rescuers arrived and attempted to capture the python, which writhed angrily as it tried to escape. <br /><br />But the python was eventually bagged up and driven several miles away to a forest where it was released. <br /><br />“It was a dangerous situation for the snake because a car could have easily hit it and that might have caused a crash,” said snake catcher Anyawut Phoampai from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation.
