<p>Former Malaysian leader Mahathir Mohamad will become the country’s prime minister once again, after winning an election against incumbent Najib Razak.</p><p>Mahathir, 92, who led Malaysia from 1981 to 2003, would become the world’s oldest prime minister</a>. His opposition coalition Pakatan Harapan won 113 seats in parliament, while Najib’s Barisan Nasional coalition, which was the largest party in Malaysia’s 222-seat parliament, only took 79, according to the South China Morning Post</a>.</p><p>Najib had been embroiled in scandals that accused him of allegedly receiving US$681 million in payments from state investement fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad, according to Channel NewsAsia</a>.</p><p>This video shows Mahathir and his other party members standing before supporters at the Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel, where their victory press conference was held.
