The United States has imposed its first sanctions since President Trump's announcement to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal. <br /> The U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on Thursday against six individuals and three companies it said had funneled millions of dollars to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's elite Qods Force.<br />It said they were operating an illegal currency-exchange network in the United Arab Emirates, and accused Iran's central bank of helping the group to access U.S. dollars held in foreign banks.<br />The Quds Force has been designated by Washington as a supporter of terrorism since 2007. <br />
