<p>A drone flying above the Piton de la Fournaise – Peak of the Furnace – volcano on Reunion Island captured the active volcano spitting and spewing smoke and magma on May 10.</p><p>According to the Smithsonian Institute’s Global Volcanism Program</a>, the volcano began erupting on April 27 and continued through May 8, with spattering reported after that date.
