<p>Ryan Grossi was driving home from work when his dash camera captured a torrential downpour brought to Southbury, Connecticut, by a damaging storm that possibly generated a tornado in the area on the evening of Tuesday, May 15.</p><p>A meteorologist with NBC Connecticut said radar images showed that a tornado had touched down in the area of Southbury and Oxford, though the National Weather Service (NWS) had not yet confirmed a tornado by early afternoon Wednesday. The NWS said</a> teams were assessing damage in several areas, including Southbury.</p><p>The town of Southbury said</a> on Wednesday that the town was “in recovery mode,” with many roads were blocked by trees and downed wires.</p><p>Electricity supplier Eversource was working to restore power across several areas.
