On March 30, 2018 -- Israeli soldiers opened fire on Palestinian “March of Return” protesters along its southern border with the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of nearly two-dozen people, making it the deadliest day in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict since a 2014 war inside of The Gaza Strip.<br /><br />The Israel Defense Forces, or IDF, defends its actions, saying it was preventing a mass crossing of its southern border with Gaza and protecting Israelis in surrounding towns.<br /><br />But Israel is being criticized by world leaders for what they’re saying is use of excessive force.<br /><br />International organizations are calling for a full, transparent and independent investigation into the killings of Palestinian protesters by Israel soldiers.
