<p>Multiple cracks were seen on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) outside the entrance of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park after a 3.5 magnitude earthquake rattled the Big Island on Wednesday, May 16.</p><p>According to Hawaii 24/7</a>, the shallow quake was centered beneath the summit of Kilauea volcano and caused cracks to emerge on nearby buildings and roads.</p><p>Park emergency managers did not close the road but urged motorists to avoid stopping near the damaged area except for emergencies, Hawaii 24/7</a> reported.</p><p>This video shows multiple cracks stretched across Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11).
