The Kilauea volcano began erupting on May 3rd, and volcanic activity has only increased.<br />Almost two weeks after fissures ripped the ground around the volcano open, spewing molten lava, the summit exploded and sent a plume of ash 30,000 feet into the air.<br />Now that ash is settling along with toxic gases in the residential areas around Kilauea, like the Leilani Estates subdivision. <br />
