<p>A plucky shop worker used a pole to threaten a trio of thieves who robbed a shop in Dandenong on Saturday, May 19.</p><p>During the frightening ordeal, three men entered the Hemmings Street store at about 7:30pm, armed with a metal pole, before the employee struck back with his own pole.</p><p>Police described them as “perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged between 18 to 30 years old, and were all wearing dark clothing with facial coverings”.</p><p>The four scuffled before the thieves made away with chocolates and cigarettes, police said. A woman and a girl were present at the time, according to the report.</p><p>A police spokesman said: “The male employee received some serious but non-life threatening injuries as a result of the scuffle, a 45-year-old woman was treated for minor injuries and a 16-year-old girl who were also present at the time was uninjured.” Credit: Victoria Police via Storyful</p><br />
