<p>The streets of Mogadishu, Somalia, were under water on Sunday, May 20, after days of rainfall triggered severe flooding. The storm, a tropical cyclone, was forecasted</a> to strike the arid region on May 16.</p><p>“Severe flash flooding and river flooding across the region will lead to a loss of human life, livestock, and the destruction of crops, property and infrastructure,” the forecast said.
