Houston teen Morgan Coultress feared she’d never walk again.<br /><br />She was injured 10 months ago in a bicycle accident and left unable to walk after damaging nerves in her spine.<br /><br />Then, last month, Coultress tentatively took some steps - to surprise her boyfriend Tarik Garcia, who had come to pick her up for prom, who is overcome with emotion.<br /><br />After spending time in hospital, Coultress began practising walking again with the aid of Garcia.<br /><br />“Recently I managed to walk for four minutes by myself but I kept it a secret from Tarik because me and my mum planned a surprise for prom.<br /><br />"Walking was so scary and so amazing at the same time."<br /><br />Video filmed by Coutress's mother on prom night on April 28 shows her walking slowly and steadily to the front door towards Tarik.<br /><br />"Omg!
