<p>Mick Kalber of Paradise Helicopters</a> captured this footage of lava from Hawaii’s Kilauea Volcano pouring down slopes and into the Pacific Ocean on May 20, creating a huge plume of so-called laze</a>, which the USGS says is short for “lava haze”.</p><p>The lava traveled from the Leilani Estates to the coast, with part of highway 137 closed off, potentially affecting residents trying to evacuate, Hawaii News Now reported</a>.
