The new Volvo Penta’s D8 is a 600 hp in line 6-cylinder diesel engine. It has four-valve-per-cylinder layout with overhead camshaft, 7.7 liters displacement, compression ratio 16.5:1 and common rail fuel injection system up to 2000 bar.
