Hawaii's Kilauea volcano has been erupting for 19 days.<br />Earlier in the month, a series of over 200 earthquakes on Hawaii's Big Island indicated that Kilauea was about to blow it's top.<br />But prolonged volcanic activity has not subsided, instead it is increasing.<br />Initially, fissures in the ground around Kilauea ripped the earth open, exposing molten lava that spewed across the surrounding jungle, a highway, and dozens of structures. <br />
