Candidate registration for South Korea's upcoming local elections and National Assembly by-elections is taking place over the next two days.<br /> Dozens of would-be representatives have already registered for various local political positions from city mayors and governors to educational superintendents.<br />Once their registration has been approved,... the candidates will be able to start campaigning from May 31st, two weeks before the elections.<br />Until then, only limited campaign activity is allowed, such as handing out business cards, and setting up campaign headquarters.<br />The public will head to the polls on June 13th. <br />
