<p>Tens of thousands of people rallied in Paris, France, on Saturday, May 26, to voice their opposition to President Emmanuel Macron’s reforms of the public sector.</p><p>The demonstration, which attracted about 32,000 protesters according to conservative estimates, was led by 60 trade unions and political parties under the banner of “popular tide”, Le Monde reported</a>.</p><p>The protesters rallied on issues including: university reforms, status of railway workers, salaries of Air France personnel, asylum and immigration law, and police violence, the newspaper reported.</p><p>This video shows protesters chanting and holding banners as they marched along Boulevard Beaumarchais.</p><p>At least 35 demonstrators in Paris were arrested for various offences, according to Reuters</a>.
