A new study by the researchers at the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention shows that more than 40 per cent of flu-infected children and teens who die have no other chronic health problems. There were 830 paediatric influenza-associated deaths reported in the US from October 2004 to September 2012. The researchers examined the medical records of 794 of the children and teens who died.
