A female suicide bomber detonated explosives inside a police station in a popular tourist area of Istanbul yesterday evening (January 6), killing a police officer. A female assailant wearing a niqab reportedly entered a police station in Istanbul’s Sultanahmet district, a popular tourist area at around 5:00pm. She told two policemen at a tourist police post that she had lost her purse, according to a report by AFP.
