Starbucks shut eight-thousand of its stores in the U.S. on Tuesday for an afternoon of racial bias training. <br /> 175-thousand employees were said to be taking part in the program.<br />The coffee shop giant is trying to rebuild its damaged reputation after two black men were arrested in a Philadelphia store for alleged trespassing.<br />Witnesses and protestors have accused Starbucks of racial profiling and have called for a boycott. <br />The racial bias training comes after an apology from the firm's Chairman.<br />Howard Schultz noted Tuesday's training was not a solution, but a first step in tackling racial profiling. <br />The store closures are estimated to cost Starbucks roughly 20 million dollars in lost sales. <br />
