"Premium Strategy" of Samsung and LG TVs worked to increase lead over Chinese TVs

Samsung and LG have extended their lead over Chinese electronics brands in the global TV market.<br /> According to market analysts IHS Markit, Samsung Electronics leads the way with 28.6 percent of global TV sales in the first quarter.<br />LG Electronics has the next largest market share with 17.9 percent.<br />The Korean brands saw global sales rise by between 1 and 3 percent from the previous year, while Chinese brands TCL and Hisense, ranked fourth and fifth in global market share, saw their sales decrease.<br />The market analysts say the 'premium strategy' pursued by Korean brands is the main reason for their strong first quarter performance. <br />
