Minister Piyush Goyal compares the track record of the past and present governments in project implementation, giving the example of the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) of Indian Railways. <br />DFC project was finalised on paper 11 years ago, and for seven years it was stuck in implementation mode with only 20% land acquired, very few contracts awarded, and insufficient funding in the Budget. From 2014, finally the project has picked up speed, with today 98% of the land acquired and about 95% of contracts awarded. <br />Minister Goyal gave this example to show the dedicated and systematic style of working of the Narendra Modi Government to deliver on promises in a time-bound manner.
