A pro-choice campaigner swallowed what is claimed to be an abortion pill at a protest in Northern Ireland.<br /><br />In a video filmed today (May 31) outside Belfast's Laganside courts, a small robot is seen carrying the pills, one of which is taken by a protester.<br /><br />In the clip, women are heard chanting “We won’t take it anymore” over megaphones. <br /><br />Police later confiscated the pills and the robot. <br /><br />The demonstration comes just days after voters in the Republic of Ireland voted to relax abortion laws following a historic referendum.<br /><br />Access to abortion in Northern Ireland, however, is still limited.<br /><br />"The action was also to raise awareness of the pills and to let women know how safe they are to take," the filmer commented.
